My First Photoshop editing experiment.

I love the way the snow covered mountains look at night. Last night, with the clouds just above, and the weak light from a partial moon, I decided to see what kind of picture I could get.

I used my program mode, 1600 ISO, and + 2 on the Exposure. I must admit, the pics looked much brighter on my camera screen than they did when I uploaded them. I played with this one a little, but I'm still pretty unfamiliar with photoshop.

Of course, Alec didn't want to be left out...which was fine by me. I'll get their cooperation any way I can take it!

Peer Pressure

I have several friends who have started photography blogs. I've been enjoying them on both a creative and personal level. I've been striving to increase both my creativity and proficiency in my own photography. I've also been captivated by the photo editing I've seen. So, I've given in to peer pressure. I guess it's the "good kind", the kind where you follow your friends with good examples and try to emulate them.

I plan to purchase Photoshop in the next few weeks. I'll be downloading the trial version soon, probably in a week when I have a couple of days off work that aren't completely occupied with other chores. Mindy has agreed to give me a few lessons. I'm feeling really excited to "play" with my photography!

This will not necessasarily be a "photo of the day" type of blog, but at least weekly and hopefully a bit more frequently. I'll also be trying some of the lessons posted by Rachael to increase my knowledge and creative process.

Until I learn some photoshopping, I'm going to keep the minimalist blogger background---just so my pictures take center stage.

Speaking of Center Stage---My Favorite picture of this past week!
